Once upon a time, it all got out of hand.
There was a nasty virus spreading throughout Union County land.
People were coughing, and aching and having a chill.
They decided it was time to call Dr. Bill.
He studied, observed and tested them all,
then decided he had to make a diagnostic call.
He eliminated Flu and Mono and Strep.
He had to do something to revive their pep.
It was a troubling, frequently occurring situation.
It seemed to be happening all across the nation!
It was a virus you see and not a bacteria.
It was really creating quite the hysteria.
Schools were closing and people off work.
He wanted to help without sounding like a jerk.
He went to med school to learn how to heal,
But sometimes you just can’t alleviate the ill!
Viruses are evil and for them there is no cure,
But you can alleviate symptoms. That is for sure.
Keep yourself hydrated and get plenty of rest.
To help fever and aches, Advil and Tylenol are best.
We can work together to keep everyone well.
Make sure you wash your hands and disinfect where you dwell.
Apply good hygiene and avoid sick contacts.
Together we can beat this scourge with common sense acts!
